It so far does not matter what formats I'm converting, nor does it matter if I am using UltraFast or Placebo. Looking at Activity Monitor I can see that the HandBrakeXPCService (76483) eats between 800 and 835% of the CPU during conversion.
During conversions to average temp is 85☌. I've since learned how to set up TG Pro and now the fans rarely reach 90% capacity and the temp averages around 56☌. The max temp reached was 102☌ before I forced the fans to max to bring the temp back down. But it should take no more than 15 min.Running HandBrake without TG Pro to force the MacBook's fan on causes the MacBook to overheat.
